1805: Napoleon wins the Battle of Austerlitz. This battle is considered perhaps is greatest military masterpiece, as the Emperor destroyed a joint Austro-Russian force larger than his own while taking very few casualties. It also led to the Treaty of Pressburg, by which Austria withdrew from the war, payed France an indemnity and recognised French annexations in Italy and Germany.
